TCS Welcomes BRITs Manchester Art Trail to Piccadilly Basin

February2026

Town Centre Securities PLC (TCS) is proud to be supporting the BRITs Manchester Art Trail, a major public art initiative celebrating the first-ever BRIT Awards to be held outside of London.

The trail is now live, with artwork installed on 12 February across the Northern Quarter and Ancoats, transforming the city into a free-to-view, walkable outdoor gallery. Curated by internationally renowned artist Stanley Chow, 21 North West artists have responded to a creative brief, creating original pieces that animate walls, windows and public spaces throughout Manchester.

Four locations within TCS’ extensive 12.5-acre Piccadilly Basin estate Piccadilly Basin estate are now hosting artwork as part of the trail, further embedding culture within this key city centre neighbourhood.

This includes two prominent billboards on Ducie Street, close to Carvers Warehouse within the TCS portfolio, where works by selected artists have been installed as large-scale printed and tiled poster installations. A third billboard on Ducie Street, close to Ducie House, also forms part of the trail, adding further visual impact along this key gateway route into the city centre.

In addition, a fourth site on Laystall Street, adjacent to Urban Exchange retail park, is hosting artwork as part of the initiative, contributing to Piccadilly Basin’s growing reputation as a vibrant and creative destination.

By making these high-profile spaces available, TCS is continuing to support initiatives that enhance the public realm and bring additional energy and footfall to Piccadilly Basin and the wider city centre.

Produced by global public art specialist Wild in Art, the trail will run for four to six weeks. A dedicated trail map enables visitors to explore each installation while celebrating Manchester’s rich creative and musical heritage at this landmark moment for the city.

Matthew Wright, Associate Director at Town Centre Securities, said:

“It’s fantastic to see the artwork now installed across Piccadilly Basin as part of the BRITs Manchester Art Trail. The BRIT Awards coming to Manchester for the first time is a hugely significant moment for the city, and we’re proud that three sites within our estate are playing a visible role in the celebrations.”

At TCS, we are committed to creating places that go beyond bricks and mortar. Supporting cultural initiatives like this helps to animate our estate, attract visitors and reinforce Piccadilly Basin’s position as one of Manchester’s most characterful and creative neighbourhoods.”

Ben Reed, Managing Director at Wild in Art, added:

“The BRITs Manchester Art Trail brings world-class music and creativity into the heart of the city, and seeing the installations in place is incredibly exciting. Partnerships with landowners such as TCS are vital in enabling us to deliver ambitious public art projects at scale.

By opening up prominent locations within Piccadilly Basin, TCS is helping to create an accessible outdoor gallery that invites people to explore, discover new artists and celebrate Manchester’s enduring creative spirit.”

Funded by Manchester City Council, the BRITs Manchester Art Trail showcases the breadth of artistic talent across the North West, further cementing Manchester’s reputation as a global hub for music and culture.
