Nadiya Hussain shows off her great British baking skills at The Merrion Centre
Nadiya Hussain returned to her former stomping ground to host a baking demonstration at the Merrion Centre, as part of the Leeds Indie Food Festival.
The event was free for all to attend and Nadiya shared some of her top tips and tricks and demonstrated some of her favourite recipes. Attendees also had the opportunity to get autographs and photos with the Bake-Off Queen.
“I always love coming back to Leeds, particularly when it’s to be part of events such as the Leeds Indie Food Festival. I loved being here at the Merrion Centre last Christmas and everyone was so welcoming, so I couldn’t wait to return. The boys like coming back up north too – they’re very proud of their Yorkshire roots! Leeds as a city has lots to offer in terms of different cuisines and is really starting to position itself as one of the foodie hot spots of the north.”

Nadiya talked through how to whip up some of her signature dishes as part of the promotion for her upcoming book, Nadiya’s Kitchen.
